    Through generous funding from Kaiser Permanente, CCCC is partnering with the Dairy Council of California to introduce children ages 3 to 5 years old to the idea that choosing healthy, good-tasting foods and being physically active each day is an important habit to establish. Enjoy recipes, activity planners and newsletters.

    Offer your preschooler fun fitness activities everyday that also encourage learning and language development in young children with monthly activity calendars.

  • 2007 Literacy Activity Calendar
    With the generous support of Castle & Cooke, the 2006 "Links to Literacy" activity calendar will provide developmentally appropriate early learning opportunities, promote early childhood literacy and improve children's school readiness. Available on-line and at Community Connection for Child Care, the calendar features a comprehensive list of low-cost reading and music activities, snack ideas and crafts for each month that promote children's exploration of the world around them.
  • Kid-Friendly Recipes & Now We're Cooking
    The Dairy Council of California provides parents with nutrition tips and recipes to support them in their role of modeling healthy food choices at home. Try one of these kid-friendly recipes today from Dairy Council of California's Meals Matter website!

    Community Connection for Child Care (CCCC) is a child development and family services agency dedicated to the development of quality child care options in Kern County.   • Born Learning
    Born Learning is a public engagement campaign through the United Way that helps parents, grandparents and caregivers explore ways to turn everyday moments into fund learning opportunities. United Way invited CCCC to be the local contact for materials and resources for the unprecedented public engagement campaign. Born Learning materials and advertising assure parents and caregivers that it is easy and fun to turn everyday moments into quality early learning moments and that is important because children are born learning.

  • Little Travelers
    Although parents and caregivers have heard much about the need for child and booster seats for their children, 82 percent of child car seats are still not being used properly in some fashion and motor vehicle crashes remain the leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages 14 and under. To help spread the word of child passenger safety and how parents and child care providers can better protect their children, CCCC has created the LittleTravelers website and educational video with information and resources.
